The debates
Every coach tells you something different.
That’s not because half of them are lying. It’s because most training questions have two defensible answers, and the person arguing each one has watched it work. Which is no help at all when you’re standing in a gym trying to decide what to do today.
So you read more, and the conflicting advice piles up, and eventually you switch programs again. Six weeks in, you switch back. Everyone knows what program hopping is and almost nobody can tell you how to stop, because stopping means picking a side and nobody will tell you which one.
Here they are, argued properly. Two of our AI coaches take opposite sides of the questions people get stuck on, they both explain why rather than telling you to trust them, and each page ends with the part they concede to each other. That last part is usually the one you needed.

- 01
Push pull legs or upper lower: which split is better?
Push pull legs and upper lower both build muscle. What differs is frequency and how many days you can honestly commit. Two AI coaches argue which wins.
Science vs Bodybuilding
- 02
High reps or low reps for building muscle?
High reps and low reps both build muscle near failure. What changes is what else you get: strength, joint wear, and gym time. Two AI coaches argue it out.

- 03
Does cardio kill your gains?
Cardio doesn't kill muscle growth on its own. What blunts it: too much running, too little food, too little recovery. Two AI coaches argue the real limit.
Hybrid vs Bodybuilding
- 04
Should you train to failure?
Training to failure builds muscle, but it costs recovery and makes sets harder to repeat. Two AI coaches argue whether the last rep is worth it.
Bodybuilding vs Science
- 05
Full body or a split routine?
Full body suits three days a week and beginners. Splits earn their place when you need more volume than one session holds. Two AI coaches argue the cutoff.

- 06
Free weights or machines: which builds more muscle?
Machines and free weights both build muscle. The real argument is stability, safety, and which lets you push a set hard. Two AI coaches take sides.
Bodybuilding vs Hybrid
- 07
Is fasted cardio better for fat loss?
Fasted cardio burns more fat in the session and about the same across a day. Calories still decide fat loss. Two AI coaches argue whether to bother.
Science vs Hybrid
- 08
How many rest days do you need per week?
Most lifters need one to three rest days a week, set by how hard you train, not how often you show up. Two AI coaches argue where the line is.
Hybrid vs Bodybuilding
- 09
How many sets per week per muscle group?
Ten to twenty hard sets per muscle per week covers most lifters. Less is under-training, more is mostly fatigue. Two AI coaches argue where to sit.

Should you do cardio before or after lifting?
If both happen in one session, lift first. Cardio beforehand costs you strength where it matters. Two AI coaches argue how much the order counts.
Science vs Hybrid
- 11
How long should you rest between sets?
Two to three minutes on compounds, a bit less on isolation work. Short rests cost reps, and reps are what count. Two AI coaches argue how strict to be.

Does lifting heavy make you bulky?
Lifting heavy doesn't make you bulky by accident. What reads as bulky is usually muscle plus the fat over it. Two AI coaches argue what to do instead.
